Monday, October 20th, 2008Baby showers are intimidating events for those of us who have yet to be inaugurated into the genus of parenthood or species of “proud parent of twins.” Shopping for a new mother, let alone a baby, is something of a challenge to those who have yet to realize the joys (read: trials) of raising an infant.
Gifts can fall under a few categories, all but one of which is best reserved for the indulgence of people who already know what it’s like to parent: seats, toys, carriages, bottles, and clothes. All but the latter are the subject of debate, so it’s best to leave car seats, rattles, jogging carriages and sip cups to the pros.
Thankfully for those of us without kids, there are some good online boutiques for kids clothing that specialize in innovative and fun fashions for babies, infants, toddlers, and kids. Pick a size and the rest is a matter of whim. Bachelors will delight in looking like they have good taste; single women will be impressed.
